What are these fields and objects?

You may notice the following components after installing Currency Updater:

  • Opportunity.s4g_currencies_Dated_Exchange_Rates__c

  • Custom object: s4g_currencies_Expenses

  • Related custom fields under the s4g_currencies namespace

These components are example/demo records included in the package.

They are provided to help administrators understand how to configure Custom Dated Exchange Rate rules.

Are these required for the app to work?

No.

They are not required for:

  • Standard currency updates

  • Advanced Currency Management (ACM)

  • Dated Exchange Rates

  • Scheduled updates

  • Custom Object rules

They are purely illustrative examples for configuration purposes.

Can I delete them?

Yes.

You may safely:

  • Remove the example rule on Opportunity

  • Delete the s4g_currencies_Expenses object

  • Delete any related demo fields

This will not impact:

  • Core functionality

  • Scheduled jobs

  • Exchange rate updates

  • Any of your production data

Why are they included?

Currency Updater allows customers to configure exchange rate logic on any custom object.

To demonstrate how the feature works, we include:

  • A sample custom object (s4g_currencies_Expenses)

  • A sample Dated Exchange Rate field on Opportunity

These serve as implementation examples only.
